CHAPTER MEETING & GUEST SPEAKER
5:00 - 6:00 p.m. - "Food Gardening and PMI" by Cynthia Bounds from Central Plateau Cleanup Company.
Cynthia Bounds currently works as a project manager with Mission Optimization Strategic Management for the Central Plateau Cleanup Company at the Hanford site.
Ms. Bounds has over thirty years of experience working on high-profile CONUS and OCONUS, U.S. Government Department of Defense and Energy projects in; Chemical and Nuclear Demilitarization, Border Security, Justice, and Transportation.
Before returning to the Tri-Cities in 2018, she served as part of the Senior Management team accountable for a $7B infrastructure and transportation partnership with the country of Qatar. Her eclectic work experience has taken her to projects in Iraq, Ukraine, Russia, Indonesia, Jordan, and Southeast Asia. Each appointment building on the other to solidify a solid foundation of fundamental project management skills applied in arenas ranging from small internal projects to implementing complex long-range strategic objectives.
Ms. Bounds holds a Master of Business Administration from Marylhurst University, a Bachelor of Science in Management from Linfield University, an Associate of Arts in Marketing, and an advanced 2-year certificate from UCLA in Government Contracts Management. She is a certified Project Controls Manager, Master Gardener, and F.A.A. Licensed Pilot. She spends her free time with family living in the N.W., remodeling her Tri-Cities home, and volunteering as the V.P. of Membership for the Columbia River Basin PMI chapter. She also is a member of the Washington State University Master Gardener Program. Currently, she sits on the Food Gardening leadership board, working to address food scarcity in the Tri-Cities. She has worked with international women's groups throughout her career to promote diversity, sharing, and charity-based projects.
