6:30 - 7:30 p.m. “Behavioral Project Management"  presented by Josh Ramirez, PMP, MSM-PM from CBC

We need a paradigm shift in project management; a complete revamping of how we think about, and conduct our discipline. This presentation introduces that paradigm shift. Where the project management discipline has focused for decades on the technical processes associated with managing projects (impacting about 30% of performance), a proposed new paradigm in project management is the complete adoption of the behavioral sciences as an overlay on top of project management technical processes, addressing the human factors in planning and execution (impacting about 70% of performance). In his presentation, Josh gives a brief overview of the concept, supported by several years of empirical research and numerous studies conducted over the last few decades. Project management meets the behavioral sciences!
