When complex operational problems are present, Cynthia is ready for the challenge with thirty years' experience as a senior manager in program controls and executive management. She has supported the U.S. Government and private sector entities in Security and Justice, Construction, Transportation, Chemical, and Nuclear programs. Her eclectic work experience, job competencies, dedication, and strong business ethics, all of which have served as a solid foundation for applying fundamental project management principles in arenas ranging from small internal projects to implementing complex long-range strategic objectives on high-profile projects within the United States and abroad.
Cynthia holds an M.B.A., a B.S. in Management, an A.A. in Marketing, and an advanced 2-year certificate from UCLA in Government Contracts Management. She is certified as a Project Controls Manager, F.A.A. Licensed Pilot, and spends time remodeling her Tri-Cities home. Cynthia is a member of the Washington State University Master Gardener Program and currently holds a seat on the Food Gardening Program's leadership board. Throughout her career, she has worked with diverse international women's groups to promote sharing and charity-based projects.
She feels that her membership in PMI-Columbia River Basin has emphasized the importance of combining knowledge and friendships, and she recognizes that the driving force behind all nonprofit associations is its membership. Her goal in volunteering to serve on this board is to continue to tout this organization's value, increasing its membership, and enhancing the entire organization.
